The public guides explain the decisions behind a useful draft: what details to prepare, how to organize spoken wording, what to review before a ceremony, and how to keep a large thank-you list personal.

Public guides are maintained by the Vows on Wedding Editorial Team. We focus on clear writing methods, privacy-aware workflows, and practical distinctions between creative guidance and facts that must be confirmed with an appropriate authority.

We do not present the editorial team as a law firm, registrar, officiant, therapist, or etiquette-certification body. Ceremony templates and planning guidance are not legal advice. Marriage requirements must be confirmed with the government office, registrar, authorized officiant, or other responsible authority for the ceremony location.

How we create and review public guidance

Our publishing workflow separates writing advice from factual claims:

1. We define the reader's practical question and answer it directly.
2. We check examples for clarity, privacy, inclusiveness, and spoken usability.
3. We identify claims that vary by jurisdiction or custom and add an appropriate qualification or named source.
4. We review links, dates, and product behavior when an article is materially updated.

Software and AI-assisted drafting may be used during content production. Public guidance is reviewed before publication, and generated wording is not treated as an authority. The product uses a separate quality-review step for generated documents, but users should still read every line and confirm that it is true, appropriate, and safe to share.

Privacy by design

Relationship stories, ceremony details, recipient lists, and generated documents are private account data. They are not turned into public profile pages or published as examples. Read the Privacy Policy for the retention and access principles that apply to private documents.

Sources, updates, and corrections

We name sources next to claims that benefit from external authority. An updated date means the page received a substantive content or source review; it is not changed merely to appear fresh. If a source changes or a statement needs correction, we update the affected page rather than silently preserving advice we no longer support.
